Originally a Secondary School, the Howardian Community Education Centre in Cardiff, Wales had 2 twenty year old plus wheelchair stairlifts that were badly in need of replacement in order that all of the centres facilities along one of the main corridors could be accessed by wheelchair users.

Terry Concerto at Snibston Discovery Museum
Built on the site of a former colliery in 1992, this thriving local museum needed room to expand and having a mezzanine floor recently installed above their entrance hall gave the museum a flexible space that can be used for offices, catering or exhibitions. However, access for semi-ambulant and wheelchair users could only be gained with the use of a vertical platform lift.

Terry Melody 1 at The Pound Arts Centre
North Wiltshire District Council needed to provide access to the outside cafe at the beautiful Grade II listed building The Pound Arts Centre. Thre was also a requirement to provide an additional emergency exit for wheelchair users.

A major £3.6 million program of refurbishment at Leisure facility Fit City in Worsley, Salford.
As part of the refurbishment scheme, to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act disabled access was needed from the mezzanine floor behind the renovated reception area to the fitness suite on the lower floor. More>>
Terry Melody 2 at Leigh Bowling CLub
Leigh Bowling Club's building could only be accessed by a number of steps and to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act the club needed to make alternative access arrangements for its less physically able members. The lift travel height of 1600mm meant that a ramp would not be a practical option. However, the landing not only provided access to the main entrance but also the route for the emergency exit door. An icon of North East England, Durham Cathedral is renowned as the greatest Norman building in England and receives 600,000 visitors each year. The Cathedral needed to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) by providing access for wheelchair users and the less mobile to Monks' Dormitory, accessed by a steep staircase.
