We require a Project Survey Engineer, based around the Leeds area to cover the North of England. Candidates must have the following essential skills base:-
Essential Experience & Desirable Skills to Include:
- Technical understanding of general building works
- General understanding & application of current Building Regulations as they apply to ramps, ballustrading, step heights and building structure
- Project management skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications
- Ability to overcome site problems and negotiate with builders on site
- Computer-literate
Essential Background Experience
- Good understanding & experience of an engineering discipline
Key Tasks to Include:
- To manage multiple sites to a high standard to ensure right first time installations
- Carry out site checks & reports
- Monitor quality of sub-contract building work and report on same to Contracts Co-ordinator
- Develop new sub-contractors as required
- Support as required to the Sales Team on surveys
As these roles will involve extensive travel, candidates must be able to plan their time, diary & journeys to maximise the number of visits made. This will also include the requirement for overnight stays.
