Sometimes known as a wheelchair lift, a platform lift is a platform that raises or lowers a wheelchair user and or an attendant to overcome a change in height usually a set of steps.
Of course, it can also be used by ambulant people with limited mobility – even a single high step can be a barrier
Why deny access to your business or public facility to customers who happen to use a wheelchair? The only difference between wheelchair users and the ambulant is that the former are sitting down.
The platform, or carriage, can be either open like the Terry Step lifts and Melody range, or enclosed, like our Concerto Lift.
Our platform lifts can be installed both indoors, to overcome internal steps, and outside, for instance at the entrance to a building.
Our convenient Portable Platform Lift will overcome temporary obstacles for occasional requirements, for instance when gaining access to a stage or during a one-off event. When it’s not in use, it can be folded up for storage.
