Shaping the home lift industry

Our story starts in 1948 in Cheshire with founder, Eric Terry – an engineer who developed the first personal hand-wound lift for a local family.  

Since then, we’ve grown into the modern lift company trusted by customers all over the world. Proudly making all of our lifts from our factory in Cheshire, designed and manufactured by our team of engineers and fitted by expert installers.

Our offering has grown over the years into a full range of domestic and public lifts, as well as lift maintenance, repair and modernisation services our customers can depend on.

Raising quality standards

Since 1979, we’ve been at the forefront of defining safety standards and influencing policy for disability access industry legislation. Working with government legislators, the LEIA international representatives, and the British Standards Institute to formulate European standards for lifting platforms and through floor lifts.
