Stepping into the Role of Managing Director

A New Chapter Begins

As I officially take on the role of Managing Director, I’ve found myself looking back at everything that’s brought me to this point. The experiences, the people, the lessons, and the countless moments that have shaped both my career and the company I’ve grown with for over two decades.

Becoming MD isn’t just a new title. It’s a huge honour, a big responsibility, and a moment that’s both deeply personal and incredibly exciting.

From that first day as an Installation Assistant, sitting in my car during lunch wondering if this was the job for me, to now leading the business, it’s been quite a journey. I’ve had the chance to grow through the company, step by step, learning from each role and every colleague along the way. Those early years taught me the value of teamwork, trust, and a hands-on approach. I never stopped asking questions and I’ve never stopped caring about how we could do things better.

Over time, I found myself naturally drawn to the operational side of the business. Solving problems, streamlining systems, and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. That curiosity led to new opportunities, and I was fortunate to be supported by a leadership team who believed in developing talent from within.

Now, as I step into the Managing Director role, I do so with real appreciation for the people around me, past and present. We are, and always have been, a team. And everything we do is rooted in something bigger than just business. We improve lives. Whether it’s helping someone regain their independence at home or making public spaces truly accessible for all. What we do has meaning.

Of course, stepping into this role also comes with a mix of emotions. While I’m excited for the road ahead, there’s sadness too as we say farewell to Dave. His leadership, experience, and steady hand have guided this company to where it is today. I’ve learned a great deal from him about leading with integrity and heart.

Looking forward, I’m driven by a simple goal: to keep building on the foundations that have brought us success; great products, great service, and great people. I want us to keep growing, keep improving, and above all, keep making a difference in people’s lives.

This isn’t just about me. It’s about all of us. I’m proud to take on this role not only for myself, but for the team I’ve worked alongside all these years. Together, we’ll keep pushing forward, adapting, and finding new ways to break down barriers to access.
