What happens if there is a power cut while I am using my lift?

Posted: 25th May 2021

If there is a power cut to your property, the battery backup will maintain operational control of the lift to lower you to the ground floor.

As an alternative, a manual lowering system can be operated with assistance from outside the lift to enable you to travel to the ground floor. In addition, we provide a telephone inside the lift (selected through floor lift models). The telephone will require a connection to your incoming telephone landline.

Some of our lifts come with a full battery backup, so they will continue to work even if there is a power cut to your property. The batteries are trickle-fed from the mains supply but will operate for up to 30 cycles.
