Mr and Mrs Ward: Staying in the Country

Thanks to the Lifestyle Lift, Mr and Mrs Ward can continue to wake up to a beautiful view every day.

Mr and Mrs Ward live on a beautiful farm estate in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. The couple have lived in the same house for 50 years and could not imagine living anywhere else. However, after Mr Ward had to undergo surgery, he was experiencing difficulties in getting upstairs to the bedroom.

“It was difficult to watch him as he struggled”, Mrs Ward said, explaining that finding the right solution was not easy. Moving to a bungalow was not an option for the couple as there are none in their area and in any event, they quite understandably wanted to stay where they were.

“We even considered converting our kitchen and dining room into a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, but it turned out to be very expensive and impractical”, Mrs Ward said, adding that moving downstairs would have meant giving up on the beautiful scenery from their bedroom window.

More value than a stair lift

Mrs Ward turned to the internet to find a better solution for their home. She came across Terry Lifts’ Lifestyle Home Lift and liked what she saw. “We didn’t like the thought of a stair lift and we wanted something that could help with practical matters like carrying the luggage upstairs. The Lifestyle Home Lift was exactly what we needed”, she said.

Price was also an important consideration for the couple since they planned to have their bathroom renovated in the same year. Having compared multiple options, Mr and Mrs Ward came to the conclusion that the Lifestyle Home Lift provided them with the best value and comfort. The additional fact that the Lifestyle Lift was locally manufactured in Knutsford, Cheshire, clinched the deal for the Wards.

A new, easier life

Mr and Mrs Ward found the installation of the lift hassle-free with minimal disturbance to their home. “Terry Lifts’ installers kept everything clean. They even tidied everything up for us overnight and set everything up again on the next day. It made the installation so much easier for us”, Mrs Ward explained.

Since the installation, the couple have been delighted with their home lift. It has transformed their lives, giving Mr Ward new-found energy as he no longer needs to struggle with the stairs. “It is so much easier to be at home now. We are really impressed with the Lifestyle Home Lift and the impact it has had on our lives”, the couple said.
