What is your job title and how long have you been at Terry Lifts?

I am the Installation Team and Training Manager, and I have worked at Terry Lifts for 17 years.

In that time, I have completed the building preparation work, installed and maintained our lifts and worked in field-based engineering roles.

Terry Lifts is all about being “the one to trust”. How does that value shine through in your role?

It is pivotal that our products are installed and maintained correctly to ensure they provide safe and reliable service to our customers. We pride ourselves on designing and developing products at our office and factory in Cheshire. Our products provide life-changing access solutions for thousands of customers around the world.

Tell us something unique about the Terry Lifts team culture

We will always go above and beyond to ensure the customer has the correct access solution which best suits their needs. This industry isn’t a typical 9-5; we need to provide assistance around the clock to ensure our products are operational 24/7.

What has been your most rewarding aspect of your role at Terry Lifts?

I have been fortunate to travel throughout Europe and across to America, training engineers to install and maintain our range of lifts.

I enjoy seeing the engineers gain confidence and a thorough understanding of our products, ensuring they are installed properly to give many years of safe and reliable service.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing – any hobbies or interests?

I am an avid Manchester United fan and go to as many home games as I can. At the moment, I’m leaving the ground feeling dejected far too frequently, but if you can’t support your team in the hard times, you will never fully appreciate the good times.

I am also a keen carp fisherman and have travelled all over the country in pursuit of these fish, at great expense I might add! Thankfully I have a very understanding wife and family who fully support me, which I do appreciate.
