Tell us something unique/interesting about your job at Terry Lifts
After the (dare I say it) Covid lockdown, there was a lot of changes and my job role became more diverse. Not just finance – it added HR, Accreditations, managing external audits (ie ISO). All areas provide have provided a learning platform which is what I like, but the icing on the cake was being able to become a mental health first aider just over 3 years ago and recertified last September 2025. Read more about workplace mental health here.
Terry Lifts is all about being “the one to trust” How does that value shine through in your role?
A big part of my job role is to listen to people in a non-judgmental way, and to enable them to feel better for talking to me. This is a trust role.
Tell us something unique about the Terry Lifts team culture?
We care a lot, and we are always trying our very best for everyone we are in contact with.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of your role at Terry Lifts?
I have no complaints about my job role, but I am very much a people-focused person and am always looking out for everyone. Being a mental health first aider has been a pinnacle and I am very proud of that. It means a lot to me personally.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing – any hobbies or interests?
I studied transformation coaching and became certified about 18 months ago. It was a massive achievement as it was not a tick box exercise; you had to dig deep and challenge yourself on a deeper level, right down to your core beliefs. Anything I can do to improve myself, and hence help to improve others so that they can achieve their own goals, is a great way of spending my time. Have also wrote a first draft of a coaching handbook, and collaborate with other transformational coaches.
Other than that, I’m a spending time outdoors and talking to animals kind of girl (lots of walks around Chester Zoo and trying to get as many meet the animal experiences under my belt as I can!)
