Job Title – Installation Assistant (Field Based)

Location – Burnley or Colne based (ideally no more than 5 miles from either location)

Who we are

Terry Group Ltd are a British engineering company with over 50 years’ experience in the design, manufacture and installation of home and platform lift solutions. Currently converting our suite of in house systems to Microsoft (MS) Dynamics 365:Business central & CRM

 

The Role

 

The role involves assisting with the Preparatory works, Installation and Maintenance of our range of home and platform lifts throughout the country, primarily within a 2 hour radius of Colne. Applicants need to reside in or in close proximity to either Colne or Burnley, Lancashire.

Own transport is required to travel to the lead engineers home address or on occasions, meet up with other engineers so a full driving licence is required.

 

Current CSCS card is desirable but not essential.

 

We do not expect you to be from the Lift industry, as full product training will be given.

 

Most important is an open-mindedness, willingness to provide colleagues with the highest levels of support and a genuine desire to assist a successful team in achieving an ever-increasing demand for its products.

Essential Skills Base

 

  • Ability to use power tools and basic hand tools in a safe manner
  • A basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
  • A methodical approach to problem solving
  • An understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Ability to deal with customers in a professional manner
  • Good communication skills
