Knowledge & Experience Required

• Good self-motivation and patient approach to tasks and colleagues.
• Quick Learner and ability to retain information.
• Strong organisational skills and a methodical manner.
• Able to work in safe manner in line with the company’s Health & Safety policies.
• Natural communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Production Manager to ensure achievement of the team’s output and quality targets.
• Ensure that the product quality is maintained.
• Ensure that any procedures and processes for the department are always strictly adhered to.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping both in his own work area and throughout the factory.
• Provide a smooth and effective induction for new members of his team.
• Complete department paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure effective two-way communication both within the team and with other department’s i.e.  Materials control to enable the production targets to be achieved.
• Ensure correct storage and identification of parts both within the works areas and in any associated holding areas to achieve smooth feeding of materials and workflow.
• Ensure that all test procedures and bulletins used in his area are current as per the intranet.
• Undertake any other duties or projects that may be reasonably requested by Management.
• Ensure that personal protective equipment (i.e. safety footwear, eye protection etc…) and TG uniform is being worn and inform the management team of instances of non-compliance.
