Terry Lifts is pleased to announce that export sales to its Australian distributor, P.R. King & Sons rose during 2020, up by almost 37% on 2018.
In a year thwarted by restrictions, shipping delays and lockdowns, P.R. King & Sons ordered a substantial number of home, platform, step and portable lifts from the British manufacturer. A Lifestyle home lift was also installed in a new showroom in Sydney, earlier in the year.
P.R. King & Sons is one of Terry’s largest single customers and has been its sole agent in Australia for almost 40 years. The family business employs around 40 people across four locations in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and the Gold Coast, and boasts almost 100 years’ experience in the lift and engineering industry.
“We have been the dedicated Australian distributor of the Terry products since 1983,” says P.R. King & Sons director Oliver King, “…and currently have around 1000 Terry products installed around Australia, most of which are still in service.
“Sales have remained strong during the global pandemic with consistent stock levels being kept of the platform lift products. We are now seeing even stronger demand for the Terry products and we hope that continues in 2021.
“We are particularly pleased with the installation of the Lifestyle lift and hope that it will drive interest and increased sales.”
Developed Specially – TSL 1000W
Amongst King’s portfolio of Terry Lifts products is the TSL 1000W – a step lift developed specially for the Australian distributor.
Perfect for homes where steps prevent independent wheelchair access to a doorway, the TSL 1000W can travel to a maximum of 1000mm. It is a cost-effective and reliable solution for domestic wheelchair access; it can easily be re-sited and is trickle charged battery-operated.
